Refund policy
- All returns must be made within 30 days of receiving.
- All returns are subject to: 20% restock fee, cost of return freight and liability of any damage to product upon return.
- Cost of original outbound freight is non-refundable.
- Products must be returned in original condition including packaging, hardware and kits(s) to be considered for return.
Freight Return Policy
Freight orders are generally non-returnable unless the return is due to an error on Black River’s part.
If you are returning or exchanging a freight-shipped item for any of the reasons listed below, Black River will cover all return shipping costs:
Valid Freight Return Exceptions:
- The wrong item was shipped due to an error on our end.
- The product has a defect from the manufacturer.
- You received a product different from the one ordered.

Items Not Eligible for Return
Certain items cannot be returned, including but not limited to:
- Freight-shipped items like Matrix toppers, Rebel Box, and Rebel HB. Call us for clarification at 515-252-0435.
- Custom-made or custom-painted items, unless Black River is responsible for an error. In such cases, return shipping costs will be covered if:
- An incorrect item was shipped due to a mistake on our end.
- The product has a manufacturer defect.
- You received a product that does not match your order.
- Products that show signs of wear and tear.
- Items that have been installed, altered, drilled, or cut.
- Products that fall outside the manufacturer’s warranty period.
- Shipping and flat rate fees are non-refundable.
Common Reasons for Returns
Defective Product
If a product arrives damaged or defective, reach out to us right away. We’ll address the issue and find a solution.
Damaged Product
We do everything in our power to ship your product safely and responsibly. Occasionally, items may sustain damage during transit. If your order arrives with damaged packaging, please notify us within 72 hours via email or call 515-252-0435
Incorrect Product
Mistakes happen! If you receive an incorrect order, or if we guaranteed fitment and the item does not fit your vehicle, give us a call. We’ll help resolve the issue and initiate the return process if needed.
Warranty Claims
We will handle claims for damaged products, returns, and lost shipments within 30 days of receipt. For warranty, missing parts, or installation issues related to Black River brands, please call us directly at 515-252-0435.
Note: Installation and labor costs, shipping fees, vehicle downtime costs, normal wear and tear, incidental damages, weather-related impacts, and acts of nature are not covered under warranty. Most warranties are limited to repair or replacement.
